Join me as I delve into their world, uncovering what makes these felines a beloved choice for cat enthusiasts in the Mountain State.
Maine Coon kittens, often termed as “gentle giants”, intrigue me with their distinct characteristics and fascinating history. Originating from Maine, these cats are one of the oldest natural breeds in North America and are renowned for their large size and sociable nature.
These kittens boast a muscular build, with males typically weighing between 13 to 18 pounds, while females range from 8 to 12 pounds. Their bodies are long and feel robust, suitable for the rugged climates of their origin. The large, tufted ears and long, bushy tail, which they wrap around themselves for warmth, are adaptations to the cold climates they come from.
Aside from their physical traits, Maine Coons are known for their friendly and playful temperament. They possess a dog-like personality, often following their owners around and participating in family activities. They are known for their intelligence and are easily trainable, responding well to interactive toys and games that challenge their cognitively.
Additionally, Maine Coon kittens have a distinctive vocal range – they do not possess a typical ‘meow.’ Instead, they chirp and trill, a unique vocalization that seems to serve as a friendly communication method between them and their human companions.
The strong and majestic appearance of the Maine Coon, paired with their engaging personalities, makes them particularly appealing to families in West Virginia. Adapting effortlessly to the diverse lifestyles from the quiet countryside homes to more active suburban dwellings, they fit various environments with grace and charm.
Exploring this breed has deepened my appreciation for these majestic cats, highlighting their adaptability and the joy they bring into homes. Having Maine Coon kittens in West Virginia seems like a perfect match, considering the state’s spacious landscapes and nature-loving communities.

Growing up in homes without cages, all of our kittens receive care and love from the earliest days of their lives, preparing them to fit seamlessly into diverse family environments, from quiet countryside homes to active suburban households. As I collaborate with top-tier European catteries, Kitty Land stands as a proud adherent to the high standards set by WCF International. This alliance guarantees that all kittens come from parents who participate in prestigious exhibitions and are screened for genetic health by certified veterinarians.
Additionally, apart from upbringing, health is of paramount importance. The parents of our kittens undergo rigorous health tests in licensed laboratories for common feline diseases, ensuring your new furry friend is not only beautiful but also healthy. These tests include screenings for polycystic kidney disease, cardiomyopathy, viral immunodeficiency, and viral leukemia.
Each Maine Coon kitten at Kitty Land is vaccinated against multiple most common feline infections, ensuring they arrive in your home healthy and ready to bring joy and companionship. They all are chipped, adding an extra layer of security for your peace of mind.

We offer four shipping options for your convenience:
We offer a Word Cat Federation (WCF) pedigree for our cats. If you prefer, your kitty can be spayed/neutered upon your request. Additionally, we offer the option to purchase a kitty with breeding rights. If you have any additional requests or questions, please let us know
To reserve a kitten, you’ll need to pay a deposit of either $400 or $500. This will hold the kitten for you and prevent it from being sold to anyone else. Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another kitten. This is because the breeder needs the deposit to keep the kitten for you.
If you need to change the kitten you’ve chosen, exceptions can be made only if both the original and new kitten are from the same breeder, the kitten is not yet spayed, and the purebred certificate hasn’t been issued under your name.
The final payment is due on the day your kitten arrives at their new home, and can be made through PayPal, WISE, or cash. If you have any questions or concerns about payment, please feel free to contact us.
Spaying kittens at a young age has several benefits, including reducing the risk of certain health issues, easier recovery from surgery, population control, and behavioral benefits. Early spaying is generally considered safe and can be done as early as 8-16 weeks old. It helps prevent unwanted litters and behaviors associated with a cat’s heat cycle.
