I’ve always been enchanted by the majestic Maine Coon cats, with their luxurious manes and gentle dispositions. It’s no surprise that they’re often dubbed “gentle giants” of the cat world. Recently, I embarked on a delightful journey to explore the world of Maine Coon kittens right here in South Carolina, a place where these furry friends are becoming increasingly beloved.
Exploring the breed’s characteristics, Maine Coon cats stand out due to their distinct size, personality, and physical traits. Known for being among the largest domesticated cat breeds, adult Maine Coons often weigh between 10 and 18 pounds, with males generally being larger than females. Their impressive size isn’t the only remarkable aspect; their coat also captivates. Sporting both short and long fur, their coat varies in pattern and color, providing a majestic look that ensures they’re unmistakable.
Personality-wise, Maine Coons are more than just their majestic appearance; they’re known for their friendly, sociable nature. Often called “dogs of the cat world,” they enjoy being part of family activities and are known for their dog-like behaviors, like following owners around the house. Strongly bonded to their human companions, Maine Coons possess a nature that is both playful and gentle, making them excellent pets for homes with children and other animals.
Health considerations are also crucial when discussing Maine Coons, as they can be susceptible to specific genetic conditions such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and hip dysplasia. Responsible breeding practices are vital to increasing the likelihood of a healthy and robust life; thus, my choice to engage with reputable breeders is intentional. These professionals often guarantee health by performing necessary genetic testing, ensuring a flourishing life for these magnificent creatures. Must-know aspects like these underscore the breed’s overall appeal, capturing hearts as effectively in South Carolina as elsewhere.
For anyone considering a Maine Coon in South Carolina, these insights not only prepare potential owners for the responsibilities but also highlight the enriching presence these cats can bring into one’s life.
At Kitty Land, we specialize in connecting families with their ideal Maine Coon companions. Our collaboration with top European catteries, which are officially registered by WCF International, ensures we offer only the healthiest and happiest kittens. The parents of our Maine Coon kittens consistently excel in WCF and TICA exhibitions, receiving high evaluations from international experts. To maintain our standards, these parents also undergo extensive genetic and health screenings, including tests for polycystic kidney disease and cardiomyopathy.
I ensure all our Maine Coon kittens grow up in a nurturing environment without cages, surrounded by love and constant care. This has profound benefits, not only for their well-being but also for their ability to seamlessly integrate into their new homes. These kittens are equipped with their essential vaccinations, including those against feline panleukopenia, viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and rabies, and all are duly chipped.
Beyond health and care, my mission at Kitty Land is deeply rooted in finding a perfect match for each family. Understanding that each home has unique needs, I provide personalized attention to help you select a kitten that best suits your lifestyle and preferences.

We offer four shipping options for your convenience:
We offer a Word Cat Federation (WCF) pedigree for our cats. If you prefer, your kitty can be spayed/neutered upon your request. Additionally, we offer the option to purchase a kitty with breeding rights. If you have any additional requests or questions, please let us know
To reserve a kitten, you’ll need to pay a deposit of either $400 or $500. This will hold the kitten for you and prevent it from being sold to anyone else. Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another kitten. This is because the breeder needs the deposit to keep the kitten for you.
If you need to change the kitten you’ve chosen, exceptions can be made only if both the original and new kitten are from the same breeder, the kitten is not yet spayed, and the purebred certificate hasn’t been issued under your name.
The final payment is due on the day your kitten arrives at their new home, and can be made through PayPal, WISE, or cash. If you have any questions or concerns about payment, please feel free to contact us.
Spaying kittens at a young age has several benefits, including reducing the risk of certain health issues, easier recovery from surgery, population control, and behavioral benefits. Early spaying is generally considered safe and can be done as early as 8-16 weeks old. It helps prevent unwanted litters and behaviors associated with a cat’s heat cycle.
